Chip Timing
How does chip timing work?
Simply put, you wear a chip strapped to your ankle with velcro tape. When you cross the finish line your time and position will be recorded automatically. Hopefully this will improve the accuracy of the results and also speed the publication of them.
How do I get my chip?
On the day of the race you will go to a distribution point which will be clearly sign posted and when you show your number bib the correct chip will be given to you and you will be shown how to attach it to your ankle. The rule is NO NUMBER NO CHIP
What if I lose or forget to bring my number bib?
You will have to join the queue at the entry tent in the Anchor Inn garden to remedy this. It will delay you.
What happens if I am not wearing my chip when I finish?
Your time or position will not be recorded.
What if I enter on the day?
You will get your chip after you have paid entered in the entry tent. There will be clear instructions on display.
How do I return my Chip?
As soon as you have finished the race you must not leave that area until you have handed in your chip.
What happens if I lose my chip or forget to hand it in?
You will be billed £5 to replace
